PFA discarded 15000 litre animal fat extracted oil, 2000 litre substandard milk
In line with the eco-friendly policy of Government of Punjab under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the confiscated items were disposed of at a dumping site in an environmentally safe manner.
According to details, under the supervision of Syed Musa Raza, food safety teams destroyed thousands of liters of seized oil and milk during two separate operations.
On Jhang Road, authorities intercepted a tanker carrying oil made from animal fat, which was reportedly being supplied to various factories and hotels. Laboratory tests declared the oil harmful to human health.
In another operation on Multan Road, teams set up a checkpoint and destroyed 2,000 liters of substandard milk.
DG Punjab Food Authority Syed Musa Raza urged citizens to avoid using unverified open oil and other uncertified food products. He reiterated that the Food Authority is continuing strict action against the adulteration mafia under its zero-tolerance policy.
