CCD Official Arrested in Australian Girl Murder Case as Chakwal Firing Declared High-Profile
According to reports, two suspects were killed in an alleged encounter with the Crime Control Department Chakwal. However, a CCD official was later taken into custody for allegedly opening fire on a family vehicle, resulting in the death of a young girl.
Sources said 39-year-old Adeel Ahmed, his wife Dr. Sidra Khan, their daughter Hania Ahmed, and son Affan Ahmed came under attack during what appeared to be a robbery incident. CCD personnel reportedly mistook their vehicle for that of criminals and opened fire.
As a result, Hania Ahmed died on the spot, while Adeel Ahmed and Affan Ahmed sustained serious injuries. Dr. Sidra Khan remained unharmed.
Meanwhile, the two robbers fled the scene after abandoning their motorcycle.
Initially, no case was registered against the CCD official. However, the FIR was later amended to include Section 302 (murder), leading to the arrest of the officer involved.
On the other hand, Farhad Ali Shah, Prosecutor General Punjab, has declared the Chakwal firing incident a high-profile case and taken notice of the matter.
He has ordered the complete case record to be submitted on June 16 for further review.
It is worth mentioning that a 12-year-old girl was killed in firing by CCD personnel in Chakwal on June 10, sparking widespread concern and calls for accountability.
