PIA Imposes Major Ban on Cabin Crew Smoking and Tobacco Carrying
According to details, PIA management has issued a new directive for flight attendants and air hostesses, prohibiting them from carrying cigarettes, cigars, and tobacco products in their personal luggage.
In addition, the airline has imposed a complete ban on smoking during flights, hotel stays, and in public places while crew members are on duty.
The new restrictions are expected to create difficulties for crew members who are habitual smokers.
PIA management has directed all staff to strictly comply with the new policy and warned that any violation will result in immediate suspension and an inquiry.
It is worth noting that under customs regulations, airline crew are generally allowed to carry a limited quantity of cigarettes. However, PIA’s new internal policy goes beyond those allowances, reflecting a stricter stance on discipline and professional conduct.
