Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Urges ASP Trainees to Embrace Smart Policing and Modern Technology
During a visit to the National Police Academy (NPA) in Islamabad on Thursday (June 11), Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with trainee ASPs and held detailed discussions on professional development and training-related matters.
Addressing the officers, the minister urged them to make modern technology and smart policing the cornerstone of their professional careers. He advised the future police leaders to treat citizens with respect and ensure the prompt resolution of public grievances once they assume field responsibilities
“Today’s trainee ASPs are the future of the country’s policing system. We have full confidence in their professional capabilities,” Naqvi said, adding that providing high-quality training and modern facilities to officers remains a top government priority.
The interior minister announced that the first batch of elite training programs for police officers would commence soon. He stressed that training aligned with modern-day requirements is the key to effective and efficient policing.
Naqvi further noted that training and residential facilities at the National Police Academy are being upgraded to meet international standards.
During his visit, the minister also inspected the under-construction hostel at the academy and reviewed a model room. He directed officials to incorporate necessary improvements and instructed that the project be completed at the earliest possible date.
The Commandant of the National Police Academy, Director General FIA, Director General NCCIA, Inspector General of Islamabad Police, and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.
