Heavy Snowfall Paralyzes Life Across Pakistan, 9 Killed

In Domel area of Chitral, a tragic incident occurred when an avalanche struck a house, resulting in the death of nine people.
Meanwhile, heavy snowfall has continued since last night in upper areas of Azad Kashmir, including Neelum Valley, Sudhanoti, Bagh, Hattian Bala, Athmuqam, and Upper Neelum. Due to intense snowfall, around 25 vehicles, including an ambulance, became stranded within the limits of Haveli district.
The Pakistan Army successfully rescued 32 passengers, while the two bodies being transported in the ambulance were also recovered. Approximately 100 people were traveling in the stranded vehicles.
After many years, Muzaffarabad witnessed snowfall, while three houses collapsed in Neelum Valley due to heavy snow accumulation.
Snowfall and landslides have blocked key highways, while the power supply system has been severely disrupted. Several electricity poles collapsed and power lines snapped, leaving many areas without electricity for the past 24 hours.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, snowfall continues intermittently. In Kaghan Valley, authorities have closed access roads and suspended tourist entry, stopping tourists at Balakot. Roads in Dir Upper, Kumrat, Lowari Tunnel, and Bajaur have also been closed due to snowfall.
