Sindh Government Unveils Rs3.562 Trillion Budget for FY 2026-27
The budget includes a 7% increase in salaries and pensions, while the minimum wage has been set at Rs43,000.
Under Article 164 of the Constitution, arrangements worth Rs260 billion have been agreed upon for national stability. The government also announced that Rs100 billion will be spent on development projects in Karachi.
Major allocations include Rs620 billion for education, Rs393 billion for health, and Rs222 billion for law and order.
The agricultural super tax rate has been reduced from 10% to 8% to provide relief to the farming sector.
The total annual development budget has been set at Rs720.385 billion, while the district development budget has been reduced significantly from Rs40 billion to Rs15 billion.
The budget deficit is estimated at Rs36.39 billion. Additionally, Rs121.6 billion has been allocated for infrastructure development.
The Sindh government also announced plans to transform Karachi into a financial hub for global investors, while Keti Bandar will be developed into an international maritime logistics, industrial, and energy center.
