Pakistan Marks 28th Youm-e-Takbeer with Renewed Commitment to National Defense
Youm-e-Takbeer marks the day when Pakistan emerged as a nuclear power, strengthening its defense capabilities and ensuring strategic balance in the region.
In his special message, President Asif Ali Zardari stated that the day symbolizes Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to national security and defense strength. He emphasized that future warfare would increasingly rely on cyber warfare, artificial intelligence, and drone technology, stressing the need for Pakistan to further enhance its capabilities in these critical areas.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif described Youm-e-Takbeer as a historic milestone in Pakistan’s journey, where the nation demonstrated unmatched courage, unity, and determination by declaring itself a nuclear power. He stated that India’s nuclear tests reflected expansionist ambitions and war-driven policies, while Pakistan’s timely and wise response successfully neutralized hostile intentions.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu also congratulated the nation on the occasion.
Pakistan’s armed forces reiterated their resolve to defend the country’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity at all costs. The military leadership described Pakistan’s nuclear capability as a sacred national trust that guarantees peace, stability, and an effective defense strategy in the region.
The armed forces further affirmed that they remain fully prepared to counter all threats and will continue fulfilling their responsibilities to ensure peace, security, and prosperity for the nation.
