Video Emerges of Four Cargo Trucks Set on Fire on N-40 Highway in Noshki
According to reports, the incident led to the closure of the main highway at Panchpai, Kishingi, and Noshki Station, leaving passengers and transporters stranded for several hours. The video circulating online shows the cargo trucks engulfed in flames after the attack.
Local administration and security forces reached the site soon after the incident and initiated efforts to restore traffic flow and reopen the highway.
Sources said that a local Pashtun trader suffered financial losses exceeding Rs150 million due to the destruction of the vehicles and goods. The affected businessman is reportedly facing severe distress and emotional trauma following the incident.
Residents of Balochistan have expressed deep concern, stating that the province’s highways serve as lifelines for trade, employment, transportation, and medical access. Citizens stressed that burning vehicles and blocking roads only harms ordinary people and disrupts daily life rather than resolving issues.
Locals have demanded the immediate reopening of the affected highway, enhanced protection for travelers and transporters, and strict legal action against those involved in the attack.
