Bohra Community Celebrates Eid-ul-Adha Across Pakistan
In Karachi, the central Eid congregation of the Bohra community was held at the historic Taheri Masjid located in Saddar, where a large number of community members gathered to offer Eid prayers. After the prayers, people exchanged Eid greetings and scenes of unity, brotherhood, and harmony were witnessed.
Eid prayer gatherings were also organized in several areas including Saddar, Pakistan Chowk, Hyderi, Baloch Colony, North Nazimabad, and other parts of the city. Strict security arrangements were put in place to ensure peaceful celebrations.
Following the Eid prayers, the ritual of animal sacrifice began in accordance with the Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim (AS). Community members had already completed preparations for sacrificial arrangements ahead of Eid, and the process will continue throughout all three days of Eid-ul-Adha.
Families are also preparing a variety of traditional meat dishes at home, while invitations and family gatherings are adding to the festive atmosphere across different neighborhoods.
