Government Slashes Petrol and Diesel Prices in Pakistan
The government has reduced the price of high-speed diesel by Rs6.80 per litre, while petrol has been cut by Rs6 per litre. Following the latest revision, the new price of petrol has been set at Rs403.78 per litre, while diesel will now cost Rs402.78 per litre.
It is worth mentioning that the government had also reduced petroleum prices by Rs5 per litre last week, bringing petrol to Rs409.78 and diesel to Rs409.58 per litre.
Earlier, the government had significantly increased fuel prices, pushing petrol to Rs414.78 per litre and high-speed diesel to Rs414.58 per litre.
The latest reduction is expected to provide some relief to inflation-hit citizens and the transport sector across the country.
