Four Terrorist Killed in North Waziristan IBO, Wanted Commander Among Dead
Security forces carried out a successful intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Spinwam area of North Waziristan, killing four Terrorist including a highly wanted Terrorist commander identified as Umar alias Jan Mir alias Saqib Tor.
According to security sources, the slain commander was a key leader of the Terrorsit network and carried a bounty of Rs3 million on his head. Officials said he was allegedly involved in planning and orchestrating multiple terrorist attacks against security forces and civilians in the region.
Security officials stated that the Terrorist commander had established underground bunkers, tunnels, and explosive traps around the Bobali Mosque area in Spinwam to evade security operations. Forces reportedly surrounded the Terrorists through a coordinated strategy before neutralizing them during the operation.
Experts described the killing of the Terrorist commander as a significant setback for militant elements operating in the region, adding that the operation is expected to contribute to restoring peace and stability in North Waziristan.
Analysts further stated that ongoing counterterrorism actions under Operation Azm-e-Istehkam against militant groups continue successfully in various parts of the country.
