Islamabad Averted From Major Terror Attack as Female Suicide Bomber Arrested
Speaking at a press conference in Quetta alongside the detained woman, CM Bugti said the suspect had been assigned a suicide mission targeting Islamabad. He praised the timely action of intelligence agencies for foiling what could have been a devastating attack.
Bugti stated that terrorist groups have no connection with Baloch traditions and values. He emphasized that while the government wants to educate and empower young girls, terrorists are exploiting them by forcing them into violence.
According to the Chief Minister, the woman was threatened that her father would be killed if she refused to carry out the suicide attack. He further said that terrorist organizations manipulate and exploit young women to satisfy foreign handlers and agendas.
CM Bugti thanked the intelligence agencies for their swift operation, adding that Baloch women have never been part of terrorism and violence. He also announced that the girl would be respectfully handed back to her family.
