Trump Says Deal Possible “Any Day”
According to reports, US forces carried out strikes on Iran’s Qeshm Island and the strategic port city of Bandar Abbas. The US Central Command reportedly confirmed attacks targeting Iranian military infrastructure following alleged Iranian drone and missile activity in the region.
Iran accused the United States of violating the ceasefire agreement and warned that any further aggression would receive an immediate and forceful response. Iranian military officials claimed their forces launched retaliatory strikes against US naval vessels east of the Strait of Hormuz and near Chabahar, causing damage to American ships.
Meanwhile, former US President Donald Trump stated that despite the recent exchange of fire, the ceasefire “still holds” and negotiations with Iran are continuing. Trump said a final agreement could be reached “within days.”
Trump also accused Iran of targeting American destroyers with missiles and drones, warning Tehran against further attacks on US naval forces. He claimed that Iran’s previous regime had collapsed and that Washington was now dealing with a “third regime” in Tehran.
The renewed tensions around the Strait of Hormuz — one of the world’s most critical oil shipping routes — have triggered global concerns over energy supplies, regional stability, and the future of US-Iran peace talks.
