School Roof Collapse in Dera Ghazi Khan Leaves Three Dead, Several Rescued
A spokesperson for Rescue 1122 said emergency search and rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the school after the incident was reported. Authorities confirmed that eight individuals had been pulled out alive from the debris so far, while three bodies had also been recovered.
According to the school administration, more children may still be trapped under the rubble, prompting rescue workers to continue the operation at the site.
Rescue officials said the emergency call regarding the collapse was received at 1157 hours by Rescue 1122 Dera Ghazi Khan.
Farooq Ahmad, spokesperson for Rescue Punjab Headquarters in Lahore, confirmed that rescue efforts were ongoing.
