Four Killed in Lightning Strikes as Storms Lash Multiple Cities Across Pakistan
According to reports, severe weather conditions including strong winds, thunderstorms, and rain caused widespread disruption in multiple regions. Lightning strike incidents claimed four lives, while four others were injured after the roof of a house collapsed.
In Jhang, two people were killed due to lightning strikes. Separate incidents in Kamalia and Toba Tek Singh resulted in one fatality each.
Heavy rain and windstorms disrupted daily life in several areas, with low-lying regions in Muridke, Sheikhupura, Tandlianwala, Chiniot, and Khanewal inundated after rainfall.
In Okara and surrounding areas, thunderstorms following strong winds disrupted the الكهرباء system, causing power outages. Intermittent rainfall was also recorded in Pir Mahal, Gujrat, and Pindi Bhattian, while heavy downpours were reported in Mansehra.
Meanwhile, in Musakhel, rainfall was accompanied by hailstorms, raising concerns about potential damage to crops.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast more rain and thunderstorms in the coming days and advised citizens to take precautionary measures.
