Five Militants Killed in Clash Between Tribes and Khawarij Elements in North Waziristan
During the gun battle, five militants were killed and several others sustained injuries. However, the attack also resulted in civilian casualties, with three people losing their lives and eight others injured due to militant firing.
Police officials responded promptly to the situation and, alongside local tribes, worked to control the area. All injured individuals were immediately shifted to the Civil Hospital in Miranshah for medical treatment. Authorities reiterated that security forces remain committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens.
Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar strongly condemned the incident, stating that acts of inhumane violence in border regions are unacceptable. He emphasized that targeting civilians reflects a brutal and anti-human mindset.
He further added that nine civilians were martyred in recent unprovoked attacks by Khawarij elements, and in a separate incident, three civilians were injured while playing cricket due to a quadcopter strike. Tarar criticized alleged Afghan Taliban representatives for making baseless accusations against Pakistan regarding attacks on civilians.
