Heartbreaking Audio of Pakistani Crew Member Held Hostage by Somali Pirates Goes Viral
The incident occurred after the vessel Honour 25 was seized by Somali pirates. Reports indicate that more than 10 Pakistani crew members, including individuals from Karachi, are currently being held captive.
Among them is Ameen bin Shams, whose emotional audio message has surfaced online. In the recording, he can be heard speaking to his father, describing the dire situation while struggling to hold back tears.
“Father, we have been captured by pirates. This may be my last voice message. I don’t know if I will be able to speak to you again, as they are taking us away,” he said.
Overcome with emotion, he added, “Forgive me for any mistakes I may have made. Please take care of Ayesha and the children. Stay strong… goodbye.”
The audio has sparked an outpouring of grief and calls for urgent action to secure the safe release of the hostages. Authorities have yet to release detailed information regarding ongoing rescue or negotiation efforts.
