PM Shehbaz Sharif Meets Iranian Ambassador

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also chaired a high-level consultative meeting attended by senior federal ministers and top officials. Sources indicate that the meeting is reviewing the implications of the extended ceasefire and assessing Pakistan’s diplomatic role in facilitating further negotiations.
Officials added that Pakistan is actively working to ensure a second round of talks between the concerned parties. The Pakistani leadership is expected to remain in contact with Iranian counterparts to support peace efforts in the region.
Pakistan has also welcomed the announcement by Donald Trump regarding the extension of the ceasefire, viewing it as a positive step toward de-escalation and dialogue.
