Rescue teams and police arrived promptly at the scene and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared Iqra dead on arrival. Hashmi remains under medical care in critical condition.
Authorities further revealed that Iqra was a 12th-grade student who aspired to join the police force. The two had reportedly left home without informing their families.
