Major Crackdown on PTI Workers in Karachi, 24 Arrested
Police confirmed that FIR No. 56/2026 has been filed under sections 147, 149, 186, and 188 of the law, with the state acting as the complainant.
According to the FIR, PTI workers, led by Aleem Adil Sheikh, were marching in the form of a rally from Fawara Chowk toward the Karachi Press Club. Protesters were reportedly carrying banners and sticks.
Police stated that security personnel attempted to stop the rally and informed participants that Section 144 had been imposed in the Red Zone by the Government of Sindh. However, the demonstrators allegedly became agitated and resisted official duties.
Following the incident, authorities have launched further investigations, and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend other individuals involved.
