Iran Claims to Down US Fighter Jets
According to international media reports, Iran stated that it targeted and destroyed three advanced US fighter jets, including an F-35, F-15, and A-10 aircraft. However, the United States has confirmed the loss of two aircraft: an F-15E Strike Eagle and an A-10 Thunderbolt II.
US officials reported that the F-15E had two crew members onboard. One has been rescued, while search operations are ongoing for the other.
Iran further claimed that during the rescue mission, it also shot down two US military helicopters and a drone. Additionally, Iranian sources released a video allegedly showing the downing of a US aircraft, which was shared via social media platform X by an Iranian embassy account.
In the caption accompanying the video, Iranian officials stated that these incidents are real-time events and not repeated footage, emphasizing that US fighter jets are being targeted and destroyed one after another.
