According to police officials, the incident occurred in the Gulberg area, where two suspects snatched a purse from a woman riding a motorcycle near the canal bridge. CCTV footage shows the suspects fleeing the scene immediately after the crime, while the woman can be seen losing balance and falling from the motorcycle.
Acting on the footage, Gulberg Police launched an operation and arrested the suspects from the Bedian area. The operation was carried out under the supervision of SP Model Town Jahandad Akram, who had assigned a special task to SHO Gulberg Taimur Abbas to apprehend the culprits.
Police identified the arrested individuals as Farooq and Jameel. During the operation, authorities recovered two pistols, six stolen mobile phones, the snatched purse, cash, and the motorcycles used in the crime.
A case has been registered against the suspects, and further investigations are currently underway.
