Man Arrested in Lahore for Harassing Women on Streets
According to officials, the suspect—identified as Asad—was taken into custody after residents reported that he repeatedly harassed young women passing through the neighborhood. He allegedly made inappropriate gestures and passed offensive remarks at women on the street.
The arrest was carried out by Shalimar police under the supervision of SHO Ali Hassan, following a prompt response to an emergency call made to the Punjab Police helpline.
Police confirmed that CCTV footage captured the suspect engaging in inappropriate behavior. He was traced and apprehended from the Bhogiwal Road area.
Authorities have registered a case against the accused and handed him over to the investigation wing for further legal proceedings. Officials reiterated their zero-tolerance policy against harassment, emphasizing that strict action will continue against individuals involved in such crimes.
