saudi foreign minister to visit pakistan on jan 6

A foreign office spokesperson said on Friday (January 3) that A foreign office spokesperson will visit Pakistan on Monday(January 6) in Pakistan’s Capital Islamabad.

In a briefing spokesperson said that It was decided that Saudian FO would visit Pakistan. The dates were being worked out and now he will be here on 6th and 7th of January.

She said that she read reports that Saudi President has come on a special flight with the purpose of taking former President Musharaf along. Now this story is pegged to the visit of Saudi Foreign Minister.

She further said that, this is normal interaction between states. Saudi Arabia and Pakistan enjoy a very close relationship and this would be the first high level visit after the new government in Pakistan took office.
