Pakistan Interior Minister Meets UN Secretary-General to Discuss Regional and Global Peace
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the evolving regional situation and a range of global challenges. Special emphasis was placed on ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and Pakistan's diplomatic efforts to support dialogue and peaceful conflict resolution.

Mohsin Naqvi said that despite numerous regional challenges, Pakistan has consistently demonstrated responsibility in promoting peace, stability, and the protection of human lives. He highlighted the leadership of Field Marshal and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in advancing initiatives aimed at strengthening regional peace.
The Interior Minister stressed that UN peacekeeping missions require realistic mandates and adequate resources to effectively fulfill their responsibilities in conflict-affected regions.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres appreciated Pakistan's enduring commitment to global peace and security, thanking the country for its valuable and long-standing contributions to United Nations peacekeeping missions.
The meeting reaffirmed Pakistan's continued support for multilateral cooperation and international efforts aimed at maintaining global peace and stability.
