Iran Issues Warning Over Security Threats During Reported Funeral Preparations
According to reports circulating in Iranian media, large-scale mourning arrangements have been made in Tehran, where strict security measures are in place at major locations including Imam Khomeini Hussainiya Center and Mosalla Al-Kabir. Authorities are preparing for massive public participation in condolence gatherings.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, in a condolence message cited by local media, said the reported passing of Ayatollah Khamenei has deeply shocked the Muslim world. He stated that national unity and resilience would remain strong in the face of challenges.
Meanwhile, Iranian media reported that a symbolic installation associated with Khamenei has been placed at Tehran’s Revolution Square as part of mourning preparations, while grief continues to spread across the country.
Separately, Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Brigade issued a stern warning, stating that if Israel or the United States launches any military action during the reported funeral or prayer ceremonies, Iran would respond with full force.
