Pakistan Federal Budget 2026–27 Likely Delayed, May Be Presented on June 10 or 12
Reports suggest that the budget, initially scheduled for presentation on Friday, June 5, could now be presented on June 10 or June 12 due to ongoing consultations and economic discussions.
Sources further revealed that the Prime Minister has postponed the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting that was scheduled before the budget announcement. It was also reported that the NEC meeting may not take place before the Gilgit-Baltistan elections.
The meeting, previously expected on June 3, is now likely to be held on June 8.
Officials indicated that additional rounds of negotiations with the IMF may take place to secure relief measures in the upcoming budget.
Sources also stated that the final and official date for the presentation of the federal budget is expected to be announced later today.
