Police found explosives on a road close to home of Pervez Musharraf on Monday(December 30) in Pakistani Capital Islamabad.
The 2.5 of explosives and two detonators were found near retired general's home on the edge of Islamabad.
According to reports from the Police, the material was found on the central reservation of Park Road, the main road leading to central Islamabad from the leafy suburb where Musharraf lives.
This is the second time in less than a week that explosive materials have been discovered from a place close to either the former general’s accommodation or his travel route.
The authorities found out about the presence of the packets on Monday after a passer-by spotted packets tied to the streetlight poles on the green belt and alerted Rescue 15 around 11 am.
He is scheduled to appear before a court on January 1.
Musharraf’s previous court hearing on December 24 was postponed due to a bomb scare.
