Annual Ghusl-e-Kaaba Ceremony Held with Spiritual Reverence in Makkah
The annual Ghusl-e-Kaaba (washing of the Holy Kaaba) ceremony was held with deep spiritual devotion and reverence at Masjid al-Haram, where thousands of liters of rose water and Zamzam Water were used to cleanse the sacred structure.
Representing King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prince Saud bin Mishaal attended the ceremony on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. After Fajr prayers, he entered the Holy Kaaba and participated in the formal washing ritual.
The sacred ceremony was also attended by diplomats from various Islamic countries, representatives of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, prominent Islamic scholars, religious leaders, and other distinguished guests.
Special security arrangements were implemented inside Masjid al-Haram during the ceremony, while only a limited number of pilgrims were allowed to perform Tawaf to ensure the ritual was conducted smoothly and in an organized manner.
Officials stated that, to protect the Kiswah (the black cloth covering the Kaaba), the curtain over the Kaaba’s door was temporarily raised during the washing process, allowing easier access for the ceremonial proceedings.
The annual Ghusl-e-Kaaba ceremony is regarded as one of the most sacred religious traditions in the Islamic world. During this blessed ritual, the Holy Kaaba is cleansed with Zamzam water and rose water, symbolizing purity and spiritual devotion. Millions of Muslims around the world watch and reflect on this spiritually uplifting occasion with great respect and love.
